Our trackballs are the world leaders in the medical imaging
field. Our superior seal technology keeps out ultrasound
gels and other debris that are typically an issue for
trackballs in this application. In addition, our stainless
steel components hold up very well and if necessary, may
be cleaned. The removable seal feature allows either the
end user or a field service technician access to the trackball
and components for occasional cleaning. Our rugged design
provides for a long life in a demanding application and
greatly reduces the cost of ownership.
We have designed in displays for many portable medical
devices. In each application, we take into consideration
the power usage, backlighting requirements and information
that needs to be displayed. By using low power backlights
and displays, we are able to extend the battery life
of the product. We also design in the smallest and lightest
display and backlight for weight consideration. Many
applications use a segment display utilizing custom
icons and a numeric readout. Others require a graphic
display in order to display a variety of information.
Our 1-inch compact sealed trackball is the perfect solution
for portable ultrasound machines. Adapting the knowledge
gained of being the world leader for stand alone ultrasound
machine trackballs, we have specifically designed this
unit with the portable medical imaging field in mind.
A standard two-line character display with backlight
provides information to the operator what mode the machine
is operating in.
