A monitor in a clinical setting works under conditions no office display is specified for. It sits in low and diffused light. It is read at an angle by several people at once. It is touched by gloved hands, exposed to smears and spatters, and wiped down with disinfectant between patients. And it has to keep doing all of that for years without the configuration changing underneath your device.
US Micro Products supports medical programs with display selection, engineering review, and supply coordination for surgical, diagnostic, portable, and clinical applications. We specify the panel, touch stack, cover glass, and interface around how the monitor will actually be used, then manage availability so the part you qualified stays buildable through the life of the product.

Built to Be Cleaned
Clinical surfaces are wiped down constantly. Ethanol agent-durable cover glass and sealed touch surfaces hold up to repeated cleaning without hazing or failing.
Continuous Duty
Designed for at least three years of continuous use with 50K hours of backlight life, because a monitor at a bedside or in a theatre is rarely switched off.
Long Program Life
Medical device lifecycles run 7 to 15+ years. We manage availability and obsolescence so the configuration you qualified stays buildable.

How We Configure a Medical Monitor
Each decision below is made against the room the monitor lives in — the lighting, the cleaning protocol, and who needs to see the screen.
Resolution & Screen Size
Resolution options from 2M to 5M pixels for diagnostic imaging, surgical visualization, and PACS review, sized around viewing distance and the detail clinicians need on screen.
Viewing Angle
IPS panels with a minimum of 80 degrees viewability in each direction, so multiple clinicians around an operating table see the same image without color shift.
Brightness & Contrast
Brightness customized from 250 nits to 500 nits or higher, with contrast ratios from 600:1 to 1000:1 to resolve fine detail in low and diffused-light rooms.
Color Depth
10-bit to 12-bit color according to your system configuration, for accurate rendering of diagnostic images and surgical camera feeds.
Touch & Cover Glass
PCAP touch that responds through latex gloves and with fluids on the screen, with AG/AR coated, ethanol agent-durable cover glass and optical bonding.
Interface & Mounting
DVI and DisplayPort interfaces customized to your system architecture, with cart, arm, wall, and VESA mounting for the position the monitor works in.
