Job Description

US Micro Products is seeking an experienced sales professional to develop and grow key customer relationships on the East Coast of the United States. This person should have a proven record in technical sales, customer development, and product design wins.

The Regional Technical Sales Manager will work with application engineering, program management, customer service, logistics, and senior management to develop and maintain customer relationships.

The role includes business development, account growth, and responsibility for revenue and profitability goals in the region.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Develop new relationships that lead to additional business
  • Perform market research to identify potential new customer targets
  • Actively contact potential customers with phone calls and email communication
  • Generate a significant backlog of sales and funnel of opportunities

Sales

  • Develop technical solutions that support customer product requirements
  • Work with the internal teams to generate technical and business proposals
  • Travel and spend time with customers
  • Achieve and exceed revenue, margin, and design win goals

Program Management

  • Manage new programs through development into production

Production and Fulfillment

  • Work with the customer service team to manage customer orders and supplier responses
  • Provide a point of contact for customer production issues involving schedule or quality, and coordinate with US and Asia teams to resolve them

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proven track record
  • Solution sales for technical hardware 5+ years
  • Custom electronics sales to OEMs
  • Direct sales
  • Business Development
  • Technical aptitude, capacity to comprehend and relay highly technical information
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong industry connections
  • Sales experience in a manufacturer's representative capacity
  • Engineering or Technical Degree
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM software
  • Experience in manufacturing and quality processes and procedures
  • Familiarity with territory sales in a multiple state region
  • Display knowledge
  • Electronics experience in Asia
