US Micro Products is seeking a Regional Technical Sales Representative (RTSR) to lead the sales efforts for our east coast territory.

US Micro Products is seeking a Regional Technical Sales Representative (RTSR) to lead the sales efforts for our east coast territory.   While working remotely from your home office, you will occasionally attend meetings in Austin, Texas. The RTSR will conduct business development efforts to develop new customers and maintain and grow existing customers.  The individual will be tasked with achieving and exceeding the revenue and profitability goals for the region.

Your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Business Development 

    • Perform market research to identify potential new customer targets. 
    • Actively contact potential customers 
    • Generate a significant backlog of sales and funnel of opportunities
       
  • Sales
    • Define the problem the customer wants to solve
    • Generate innovative solutions to the customer's problem that enhances the customer's product and exceed their expectations
    • Work with the USMP teams to generate technical and business proposals 
    • Achieve and exceed revenue, profitability, and design win goals 
       
  • Program Management
    • Manage new programs through development into production 
       
  • Production and fulfillment 
    • Work with our CSR team to managing customer orders and supplier responses 
    • Provide a point of contact for customer production issues like schedule or quality and work with our USMP team in the US and Asia to resolve any problems.  
  • Bachelor’s degree  
  • Proven track record
  • Solution sales for technical hardware 5+ years
  • Custom electronics sales to OEMs
  • Direct sales
  • Business development 
  • Technical aptitude, capacity to comprehend and relay highly technical information  
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time
  • Strong industry connections 
  • Sales experience in a manufacturer’s representative capacity 
  • Engineering or Technical Degree
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM software
  • Experience in manufacturing and quality processes and procedures
  • Familiarity with territory sales in a multiple state region
  • Display knowledge 
  • Excellent pay commensurate with experience
