The desktop version comes in its own enclosure along with buttons and cable. The panel mount version is for incorporation into a console with only the trackball being exposed. Generally installed from beneath the console with either a PIM mount or a U-bracket mount. The fascia mount version comes complete with mounting plate and buttons. Another option is to order the Panel Mounted version with separate buttons, and install the buttons into specific locations on the console.

The 1 or 1.5 inch trackball is frequently used in portable applications. The majority of console applications preference is to use a 2 inch diameter or larger trackball. The large surface area provides greater control of the ball and a more substantial feel due to the greater mass.

All units are available in a sealed version. A specially designed rubber seal that interfaces with the ball surface to protect the unit from ingress of debris: dirt, dust, oils, and liquids. Protection level rating will be determined by application environmental requirements. The waterproof version of our trackballs comes complete with O-rings and sealed electronics.
